1. The Twilight Hawkers Market
The Twilight Hawkers Market is an incredible food market that takes over Perth's Forrest Place. Starting from October and running until April, this bustling event is the perfect place to enjoy delicious international street food, live music, and the vibrant atmosphere of this gorgeous city. You'll find everything from Malaysian curries to Spanish churros, Thai stir-fries, and Argentinean steaks. Held every Friday from 4.30pm to 9pm, the Twilight Hawkers Market is a fantastic way to start the weekend.

2. The Perth Christmas Lights Trail
The festive season is a magical time in Perth, with the city's streets and buildings illuminated in a twinkling sea of lights. The Perth Christmas Lights Trail is a spectacular walking tour that will give you the chance to see the city in all its illuminated glory. This free event runs from late November until the end of December and takes you on a trail that starts in the heart of the city and takes you past some of Perth's most iconic landmarks. Wonder at illuminated Santa's, mesmerising light installations and beautiful festive decorations.

3. The Sunset Wine and Brews Festival
The Sunset Wine and Brews Festival is held over two days in February and located at the picturesque Scarborough Beach. Featuring more than 30 local brewers and winemakers, the festival offers a relaxed and fun atmosphere, making it the perfect way to spend a summer weekend. Enjoy wine, beer, and cider tastings alongside gourmet food and live music under the sun. This festival is a must-see for any wine or beer lover!

4. Fringe World Festival
The Fringe World Festival is Perth's premier event for performing arts, cabaret, comedy, theatre and anything in between. Happening in January and February, this three-week festival offers a wide range of free and ticketed events spread throughout the city. With over 700 shows from both national and international performers, there is something for everyone. Whether you fancy stand-up comedy, burlesque, circus acts, or immersive theatre, be sure to book your tickets early as this event sells out quickly.

5. The Perth Royal Show
The Perth Royal Show is a beloved annual event that takes place in September and is one of the biggest events of the year. Hosted at the Claremont Showgrounds, the show promises to be a highlight of your year. From carnival rides to show bags and endless entertainment, the Perth Royal Show is the perfect day out for families. From farm animals to exciting exhibitions the day is filled with excitement. Snack on the best of the deep-fried foods and enjoy live music, and be sure to catch the fireworks display as the grand finale.
